In April 2022, Mark Wilson from the Going the Extra Mile for Safety (GEMS) committee of the Temiskaming Shores Chamber of Commerce spoke about 2+1 roads at an event hosted by Northern Policy Institute. In his talk Mark highlighted how the 2+1 model could be used in Northern Ontario to increase road safety while saving money compared to highway twinning. This talk has now been made into a report.
