Does Ontario Need a Northern Lens?

A one-size-fits-all approach to public policy formation is not adequate in addressing the diverse needs and interests of Ontarians, especially those in the northern areas of the province. As such, this commentary explores domestic and international examples of rural and/or northern policy lenses, as well as how these lenses have operated in practice. Based on these cases, the author dives into lessons that Northern Ontario ought to consider should a northern lens be implemented.
