Basic Income Guarantee

The government of Ontario recently announced a basic income guarantee pilot project in the communities of Thunder Bay, Lindsay, and Hamilton.

Northern Policy Institute's recent conference October 5-6 in Sudbury, ON saw experts from around the country present their own current research on basic income guarantee. Topics included food security issues, potential models for a B.I.G. pilot, tax implications and the potential impacts a basic income could have on First Nations and social innovators.
